Born and raised in Beijing, Jet grew up a gifted martial arts athlete. He won the championship in Chinese National Martial Arts Contest from 1974 to 1979 consecutively. His role in the "Shaolin Temple", China's first modern Kung Fu movie, made him an instant national celebrity. Jet continued to bring wonderful Kongfu skills into Chinese movie screens. His growing popularity landed him in Hong Kong's world-oriented movie industry. To many, Jet is one of the greatest kongfu masters and heros on screen. Most recently, Jet marched into Hollywood by playing a role in Mel Gibson's action blockbuster "Leathal Weapon 4". |
